FUNERAL FLOWERS IN BATH, SOMERSET

At Bohemian Blooms, we believe that funeral flowers offer us all the chance to celebrate the life of our loved ones in a meaningful and uniquely personal way. It is a privilege to be of some small help to people at such a difficult time in their lives.

If you’re looking for funeral flowers in Bath or the surrounding Somerset area, Bohemian Blooms can create a personal floral tribute to honour someone you love.

Our flower farm is in Faulkland, just south of Bath, making us ideally placed to create funeral flowers for families in Bath and the surrounding villages and towns. We also work with families and funeral directors across Somerset and the wider Bath and Bristol area.

When you need funeral flowers, Louisa du Rose will work with you to create a beautiful, fitting tribute and will make things as easy possible. She will talk to you about your ideas for the floral tribute and about your loved one so that she can incorporate small details that reflect their life.

PERSONAL & MEANINGFUL

Funeral flowers don't have to follow a particular formula. Sometimes the most meaningful tribute is something that reflects the person who has died: their favourite flowers, colours, garden, hobbies, personality or a place that was special to them.

Louisa will talk through your ideas with you and help you choose a style of funeral flowers that feels appropriate.

We can create something simple and understated, colourful and joyful, wild and natural, or completely bespoke.

We can also incorporate flowers or foliage from your own garden where appropriate, creating a particularly personal connection to the person you are remembering.

Whether you’re looking for a traditional funeral wreath, a natural sheaf of flowers, a coffin spray or a more personal floral tribute, we will take the time to understand what feels right for you and your family.

“The flowers were gorgeous, everything I had envisioned and hoped for. The beautiful colours of summer, light, joy and life ongoing. It means so much knowing it has come from your flower farm and ethos that so resonates.”

NATURAL, SUSTAINABLE FUNERAL FLOWERS

Beautiful funeral flowers don't need to come at the expense of the environment.

We are members of The Farewell Flowers Directory, and have committed to making funeral floristry as sustainable as possible. Our funeral flowers are designed without plastic floral foam or single-use plastic.

During the growing season, many of the flowers and foliage we use are grown here at our flower farm in Faulkland, Somerset, using sustainable growing methods.

Our natural, garden-style flowers have an informal, seasonal character that can be especially fitting for a celebration of life, woodland burial or natural funeral.

Whether you’re looking for a few pared-back arrangements or a large-scale floral installation, reach out to discuss what’s possible.

FUNERAL FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS

We can create a wide range of bespoke funeral flowers, including:

  • Jam jar baskets - a basket of jam jar posies to place on top of the coffin. After the ceremony, the basket can be taken to the wake and the jam jars used to decorate the space, and then gifted to family and friends.

  • Coffin sprays and casket flowers – a beautiful floral tribute placed on the coffin.

  • Funeral wreaths – from traditional circular wreaths to more natural, seasonal designs.

  • Funeral sheaves – a simple, elegant flat-backed arrangement that can be placed beside the coffin or grave.

  • Natural funeral flowers – seasonal, garden-style arrangements with a relaxed and natural feel.

  • Personalised funeral tributes – flowers designed around a person's favourite colours, flowers, interests or personality.

  • Flowers for a celebration of life – informal, joyful arrangements that reflect a life well lived.

  • Flowers for natural and woodland funerals – seasonal flowers and foliage suited to a more natural farewell.

Every arrangement is made specifically for the person and the occasion, rather than being selected from a standard catalogue.

“The flowers were perfect. So beautiful. Couldn’t have been better. The basket worked really well - our guests took the jam jars home, and we have had messages about how lovely it was.”

HOW TO ORDER FUNERAL FLOWERS

The first step is to pick up the phone to Louisa du Rose on 07737 033028 or email louisa@bohemianblooms.uk for an initial chat. There is no need to know exactly what you want before you call - Louisa will guide you through.

We are based at our flower farm in Faulkland, Somerset, near Bath, and regularly work with families looking for funeral flowers in Bath and the surrounding area. Our location makes us convenient for families in and around Bath, Bradford on Avon, Radstock, Midsomer Norton, Frome, Trowbridge and the surrounding Somerset villages, as well as the wider Bath and Bristol area.

OUR FLOWERS

Between April and October we handpick seasonal garden-style flowers and foliage from our plot here at Faulkland in Somerset. Their arching forms and gently nodding flowerheads give a soft, natural feel to our arrangements.

In winter we create the same feel combining flowers from UK glasshouse growers and from abroad with seasonal foliage from our plot; we can incorporate material from your garden, too, if you wish.

THE STYLE

You can choose from a casket spray/coffin blanket, a wreath, a sheaf (a flat-backed bouquet) or a shareable arrangement - all designed without using plastic floral foam or single-use plastic. We also offer larger bespoke floral displays, including arches and meadows; get in touch to see what’s possible.

Once we’ve had a phone conversation and decided on the style and budget, you can confidently leave us to create it for you.

Whatever you choose, we are here to give you the arrangements that feel just right.

WORKING WITH YOUR FUNERAL DIRECTOR

If a funeral director is already helping you arrange the funeral, we are very happy to work with them directly.

You can ask your funeral director to liaise with Bohemian Blooms about the flowers, or you can contact us yourself and we can discuss your ideas before arranging delivery or collection details.

We work with families who have chosen independent funeral directors as well as larger funeral care providers. If you're arranging a funeral in Bath and haven't yet chosen a funeral director, the following local firms may be useful places to start:

Hollie James Independent Funeral Directors

E. Hooper & Son Funeral Directors

G. Mannings Funeral Directors

Co-op Funeralcare, Bath

There are also funeral directors serving families in the surrounding area, including Frome, Midsomer Norton, Radstock, Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge.

We don't recommend one funeral director over another, but have included some local options simply as a useful starting point for families who may be arranging a funeral for the first time.
